Save the DGH Campaign
The Save the DGH Campaign was started in March 2006 when it appeared the local Health Authority was going to downgrade Eastbourne DGH,and take away ‘core services’, in particular A & E, Paediatrics and Maternity.
After many months of campaigning and despite increasing medical evidence which supports the Campaign’s view, the decision to downgrade Eastbourne DGH Maternity was made on 20th December 2007 by the local Primary Care Trust.
We are fighting this decision and are absolutely convinced that the people of Eastbourne and East Sussex will support us as we continue our fight to save babies lives and also to retain essential emergency services!
