Ghost Walks on Beachy Head!

Wednesday 29th - Thursday 30th October - Start at Tiger Public House on East Dean Village Green

01732 862353.

Following a very successful season of Smugglers walks which included a splattering of Ghost stories on Beachy Head during July and August this year, the Guide and story teller Keith Stitchman has been asked to execute Halloween Ghost Walks at the end of October.

Although this is the first year that Keith has been taking guided walks from East Dean and onto Beachy Head, he has been telling ghost stories to adults and children on the Ashdown Forest and other locations for over 10 years.

The GORY Ghost walks will begin outside the Tiger public house on East Dean village green and will be held on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th October. They start at 5 and 6.45pm, with an ADULT-ONLY walk beginning at 9pm.

There will also be a Ghost Walk starting at Half past Midnight on Halloween night (Morning of Sat 1st Nov)

Taking approx one and a half hours, with just over a mile to walk they are suitable for all ages. However with one hill and a couple of stiles to negotiate they are unsuitable for pushchairs.

The stories are told by a professional actor and include gory Ghost stories taken from the Sussex area.

There are a limited number of places per walk and although you can just turn up at any of the times,

The walks cost £7.50 adults, £5 children and £6 for those over 60, there is also a family concession available.

The Midnight walk on Halloween costs £12.50 and must be paid for in advance.

To make sure that there are still places available it is advisable to call the guide.
